Precision Air Looking for Apprentice Paint and Repair Specialist, Join Precision Air team as an Apprentice Paint and Repair Specialist, where you will embark on a four-year structured training program combining theoretical knowledge and on-the-job training (OJT). This role is designed to develop your expertise in aircraft maintenance and repair, ultimately earning you TCAA Repair Specialist Approval.

You will gain hands-on experience in engineering processes, technical inspection, aircraft repair, and safety protocols, while working closely with skilled professionals to ensure quality and safety in all tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete a four-year apprentice training program, including theoretical and practical components, to achieve TCAA Repair Specialist Approval.
  • Observe, learn, and apply a wide range of engineering skills and processes under the guidance of skilled technical staff.
  • Demonstrate growing technical proficiency by undertaking tasks independently or as part of a team.
  • Learn to read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical data for task feasibility and execution.
  • Inspect aircraft structures and systems, including mechanical flight control, hydraulic, and fuel systems, using visual techniques and precision tools.
  • Replace or repair damaged aircraft components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and structural repair equipment.
  • Perform assembly, disassembly, and replacement of aircraft components and systems as required.
  • Document inspection findings and corrective actions in maintenance records to meet regulatory standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and practice proper tool and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards within the workspace.
  • Utilize Lean and continuous improvement tools to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Assist mechanics with diagnosing and repairing various aircraft systems to prepare for flight and customer delivery.
  • Tow, park, and secure aircraft at designated locations.
  • Maintain a detailed logbook of tasks and skills acquired throughout the apprenticeship.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned, appropriate to the role and responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Diploma or higher in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge and experience in spray painting, sheet metal, and composite repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Safety-conscious mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks without compromising quality.
  • Strong team player with a proactive, accountable, and transparent approach.
  • Experience in aircraft painting and sheet metal/composite repair is an added advantage.
