The Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) invites qualified candidates to apply for various positions for the 2025/2026 financial year. This recruitment drive aims to enhance the force with 1,420 new cadet constables.

VACANCIES IN THE NAMIBIAN POLICE FORCE: 2025/2026 FINANCIAL YEAR

Among these openings, 1,200 are for general cadet constable roles. Additionally, NAMPOL is seeking candidates with specialized qualifications: 150 positions require a Bachelor of Criminal Justice in Policing, and 50 positions require a Bachelor of Computer Science with a focus on Cyber Security.

Job Title:   Cadet Constable

Salary Grade: Grade 13

Salary scale: N$ 81 645 – 102 039 Duty Station:  Countrywide

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Have an authentic Grade 12 NSSCO/H or Grade 11 Certificate (New Curriculum) School Certificate with at least twenty five (25) points or higher in six (6) subjects, with an “E” symbol or higher in English.

Candidate must:

• Be a Namibian citizen;
• Be between 18 and 35 years old;
• Furnish proof of his or her age by means of a certified copy of the Identity Document (ID);
• Be free from mental or physical defects, disease or infirmity which will probably interfere with the proper execution of duties;
• Be willing to submit himself or herself to a complete medical checkup, which also includes physical examination;
• Be willing to undergo a pregnancy test, in case of female applicants;
• Allow his or her fingerprints to be taken to determine previous convictions;
• Not have been convicted of any offence or have a pending case and must have a good character;

• Be prepared to take the declaration of accession to office, as contained in Schedule A of the Police Regulations;
• Have good communication skills and good command of the official language;
• Be prepared to undergo police training;
• Be prepared to be deployed anywhere, even in remote areas away from home or place of origin;
  • Be prepared to undergo interviews, written and physical tests;
  • A valid Code B or higher Driver’s license or Computer literacy will be an added advantage.

NB: No Applicants with pending cases or previous convictions will be considered for shortlisting. All Candidates must indicate their medical conditions on health questionnaire (156094) failure to do so will lead to automatic disqualification.
