Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Asset Care

• Lead and execute the asset care plan for plant and facility equipment.
• Address technical training needs and ensure compliance with Engineering Change Management.

2. Plant Reliability

• Ensure high reliability and uptime of the packaging plant.
• Implement predictive maintenance and analyze failure modes to prevent recurrences.

3. Breakdown Response

• Respond promptly to breakdowns and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Analyze breakdowns for root causes and implement corrective actions.

4. Plant Optimization

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop corrective actions to enhance processes, equipment, and plant performance.

5. Team Leadership and Management

• Lead the Maintenance and Support (MAS) team, fostering a culture of empowerment.
• Conducted performance reviews and managed training for multi-skilling.

6. Safety and Housekeeping

• Ensure adherence to CCBA safety policies and legislative requirements.
• Conduct regular safety checks and promote a safe working environment.

7. Budget Management

• Oversee asset care budgets and control maintenance costs.
• Develop and implement CAPEX and cost plans for efficiency.

8. Maintenance Planning and Execution

• Update and execute maintenance plans, ensuring timely availability of tools and resources.
• Coordinate MAS team availability for planned maintenance activities.

Skills, Experience & Education

Required Skills

• Leadership in asset care planning and team development.
• Technical expertise in predictive maintenance and plant reliability.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills for root cause identification and process optimization.
• Financial management for budget control and cost efficiency.

Experience

• 8+ years in maintenance with engineering and packaging knowledge.
• 4+ years in line management roles.
• Deep understanding of packaging operations and systems.

Education

• BSc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
