This project focuses on enhancing the feed sector with climate-smart technologies, improving animal health management, expanding agricultural finance services, and strengthening extension and service provider capacities.
The program seeks to develop sustainable commercial enterprises in Tanzania’s poultry industry, and the position will be based in Mbeya, Tanzania.

Position Summary:
The Human Resource Officer will report to the Chief of Party (COP) and collaborate with the Regional HR Business Partner to serve as the primary HR liaison between office staff, management, and U.S. headquarters.
The role involves ensuring compliance with Tanzanian labor laws, supporting HR operations, and facilitating key HR deliverables in partnership with program directors and managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the HR focal point for project staff and management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory labor laws, NGO regulations, and organizational policies.
- Support HR operations, including recruitment, performance management, and capacity building.
- Collaborate with regional HR and finance teams on administrative and financial procedures.
- Foster professional interactions with diverse teams, consultants, and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Law, Business Administration, Sociology, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience.
- Membership in a recognized HR professional body is an advantage.
- Familiarity with USG-funded programs, Tanzanian labor laws, and NGO regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Swahili and English.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database systems.
