Our East Africa practice, spanning Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda, is seeking an experienced IT Audit Manager to join our Dar es Salaam office and lead our IT Audit Department.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Partners and Directors to manage the delivery of a complex portfolio of IT audits.
• Lead and oversee small teams of IT auditors in the end-to-end delivery of IT audits, including financial statement audits and controls reviews, ensuring effective scoping, quality, and timely delivery within budget.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Identify revenue-generating opportunities within audit scopes, such as scope extensions, and explore opportunities across the wider market for non-audit clients.
• Ensure the quality of deliverables meets the highest regulatory and professional standards.
• Manage and mentor junior staff, providing coaching, development opportunities, and delivering internal training and guidance materials.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a reputable consulting/audit firm or a dynamic team environment within Financial Services, Insurance, or Consumer markets sectors.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CPA, or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing complex or diverse technology process and controls assurance projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering IT audit work as part of internal or external audits and/or SOC1/2 reports.
• Strong understanding of common business processes and emerging technologies such as cloud computing and robotic process automation.
• Excellent technical and business English skills, including reporting and presentation abilities.

• Proficiency in IT tools, including Microsoft Office.
• Attention to detail with a team-oriented mindset and leadership capability.
• Excellent coordination and planning skills.
• Ability to work under tight timelines, manage budgets, and deliver high-quality work across multiple projects.
