CRDB Bank is seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Specialist for the TACATDP Implementation in its Sustainable Finance Unit. Based at the Tanzania Head Office, this role will oversee the effective utilization of funds disbursed by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) to support agricultural resilience in Tanzania. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with the Funded Activity Agreement (FAA), Accreditation Master Agreement (AMA), and CRDB Bank policies, contributing to transformative climate adaptation in agriculture.

Job Purpose

The Senior Specialist will oversee the financial and operational management of the Tanzania Agriculture Climate Adaptation Technology Deployment Programme (TACATDP). This includes ensuring compliance with GCF agreements, optimizing fund utilization, and supporting innovative financial products to enhance smallholder farmers’ climate resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process fund disbursement requests from GCF and ensure accurate allocation to designated TACATDP accounts.
• Prepare Annual Performance Reports for GCF as required by the FAA and AMA agreements.
• Facilitate payments to TACATDP vendors and monitor activities funded by GCF Technical Assistance.
• Review, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in financial entries for TACATDP accounts, including loans, technical assistance, and insurance funds.
• Analyze and approve fund request proposals from GCF beneficiaries in line with signed agreements and budgets.
• Monitor GCF payment schedules and ensure timely settlement of fees and commissions in collaboration with finance and treasury teams.
• Coordinate internal and external audits for the TACATDP program, maintaining a tracker for implementing recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills

• A degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accountancy, or related fields from a recognized institution.
• Additional certifications in sustainability, CPA, or ACCA are an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial management within commercial banking.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt under pressure.
• Commitment to sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.
