CRDB Bank is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Sustainable Finance Unit as the Manager Projects Origination and Formulation. Based at our Tanzania Head Office, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of innovative green and climate financing solutions that align with our strategic objectives. Job Purpose

To support CRDB Bank’s capacity to engage in green financing and climate financing by acquiring various funding opportunities within the technical field of climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the origination and formulation of concept notes and funding proposals that align with CRDB Bank’s strategic objectives and meet funder requirements, including the GCF.
• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential sustainable financing projects.
• Develop robust financial models and risk assessments to ensure project feasibility and sustainability.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including technical experts, to ensure project proposals meet environmental and social standards.
• Stay updated on the evolving landscape of climate finance, including best practices and emerging trends.
• Represent CRDB Bank at industry events to promote sustainable finance initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, Accountancy, Economics, or related fields. Certifications in Climate Change, ESG, or Climate Finance are advantageous.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in formulating and managing climate change-related programs and projects.
• Expertise in environmental and social management systems and IFC Performance Standards (PS1–PS8).
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and opportunities in climate finance, with the ability to strategize and achieve desired outcomes.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet critical deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
• Certifications in Project Management, Climate Change Adaptation, and ESG/Climate Finance are desirable.
