The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 120 km from Mwanza City and 20 km Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company has its main office and operations in Geita, only 5 km west of the fast-growing town, and a supporting office in Dar es Salaam.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To support the Underground Mining Department in improving the production stream, including equipment utilization in areas such as Drilling, Blasting, Ground Support, and Haulage; coaching and mentoring Development and Production Supervisors and senior UG Supervisors and overseeing the adherents of mining standards; and quality maintenance of UG equipment to comply with OEM.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed / Certified Underground
• Training Certificate / Experience –
• A formal qualification (Diploma/certificate) in Mining Engineering will be an

EXPERIENCE:

• 15+ years of supervisory experience in underground mining and knowledge of sublevel stoping underground Mining methods.
• Knowledge and understanding of reading drawings and ability to follow

MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Practical Training, Coaching, and mentoring of UG
• Practical Coaching of Underground Operation Supervision, ensuring crews work safely and achieve desired results.
• Ensures Underground Supervision compliance with the Mines
• Guide Supervision to ensure workplace safety and environmental standards are established and met and that standards and procedures are communicated to the site
• . Guide supervision is needed to ensure the daily mine plan for the shift is achieved and compliance with mine plan.
• Provide Coaching and Supervision to assist with sourcing and filling equipment.
• Provide training to Supervision to prioritize tasks, delegate workload to mine crews, and monitor progress.
• Provides Leadership Training to Supervision and encourages performance and ensure the crew is taking the
• Ensure Supervision conduct routinely Communication and effectively with the Senior Supervisor and other supervisory personnel as
