Joining instructions Form Five Kisutu Secondary School

Kisutu Secondary School is located in the center of Dar Es Salaam, approximately 21 kilometers from the Magufuli bus terminal. From there, take a rapid bus to Kivukoni (fare: TZS 1250) and get off at the Kisutu station. Cross the street to the left, where you will see the Kisutu market. Continue along this road until you reach the intersection of Kisutu and Mtendeni streets. Follow Kisutu street, and you’ll see the school sign.

Kisutu Girls’ Secondary School is in the Kisutu neighborhood, near Posta in Dar Es Salaam. From areas like Mbagala, Gongo la Mboto, Chanika, or Kinyerezi, take a bus to Posta or Kivukoni and get off at Akiba Station on Bibi Titi Street. Cross to enter Zanaki Street.

The first left is Kisutu Street, where a school sign will be visible. If you alight at New Posta, cross the road at GBP gas station, go along Upanga Road, and enter Kisutu Street to reach the school gate.

The school operates as a day school only, with classes from 8:00 am to 2:20 pm. Academic activities include sports and educational trips. Teachers are dedicated and passionate about their work.

Attendance Policy:

  1. Students must arrive at school by 7:00 am for inspection.
  2. Students are not allowed to leave school grounds without permission from the Matron, Health Teacher, or Duty Teacher. If necessary, permission will be granted by the Assistant Principal.
  3. Parents/guardians must inform the school if a student is absent.
  4. A doctor’s certificate must confirm any illness.
  5. Students are required to attend all scheduled classes.
  6. School fees and other contributions should be paid on time through the bank.
  7. Parents/guardians should monitor students’ progress and attendance and review all notes and assignments.

Important Information: All contributions should be paid to the school account at NMB Bank, Ilala branch (Account No. 20301100078, Account Name: Kisutu Secondary School) and can be made at any NMB branch. Submit the original bank slip with the student’s name, class, and stream to the accountant.

Fees Structure:

  1. School Operations Contribution – TZS 35,000
  2. Caution Fee – TZS 5,000
  3. School Emblem – TZS 5,000
  4. Student ID – TZS 5,000
    Total: TZS 50,000

Personal Supplies Required:

  1. Black school bag
  2. Geometry set
  3. English dictionary
  4. Notebooks (quire 4 counter books for each subject)
  5. Subject-specific textbooks (list attached)
  6. White lab coat for practicals (science students – PCM, PCB, CBG)
  7. Dissecting kit (for PCB and CBG students – type specified at school)

School Uniform:

  1. Two pairs of white, lace-up shoes (completely white)
  2. Two pairs of white socks
  3. Two white short-sleeved shirts (or an approved half-dress for Muslim students)
  4. Two long maroon skirts (ankle-length)
  5. Scarf matching the school skirt color with a white stripe
  6. Sportswear – T-shirt in national flag colors and blue track pants (for sports only)
  7. School T-shirt (details provided at school)

School Supplies: Each student should bring two reams of paper annually.

Cleaning Supplies:

  • PCB: Bucket and outdoor broom
  • HGL: Indoor broom, 1-liter cup, and dustpan
  • CBG: Toilet brush and large trash bin
  • HKL: Mop and bucket
  • HGK: Large bucket and squeezer
  • PCM: Hoe and rake
  • HGLi: One dozen spring files and a 5-liter container of liquid soap (“Lit” brand)

School Property: Students are provided with textbooks, a desk, and a chair. It is their responsibility to care for these items and return them when required. Any damaged or unreturned item must be compensated. Students must maintain high discipline.

Offenses That May Lead to Expulsion:

  1. Theft
  2. Indecency, sexual assault, or same-gender relations
  3. Alcohol consumption
  4. Drug use, including marijuana
  5. Physical fighting
  6. Intentional damage to public property
  7. Disrespecting the national flag
  8. Marriage
  9. Pregnancy or abortion
  10. Protests, incitement, disruption of school peace
  11. Possession of a phone on school premises
  12. Deliberate refusal of disciplinary measures

Progress Reports: Progress reports are issued twice a year. Parents/guardians must provide accurate contact information and update any changes to follow the student’s academic progress. For any issues, promptly contact the principal.
