Warehouse Manager Job Vacancy at Kilombero Sugar

Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize outbound logistics and warehouse operations. This role is critical for driving operational excellence, ensuring on-time and in-full delivery to customers, and maintaining compliance with group standards.

The successful candidate will lead warehouse teams, implement best practices, and ensure cost-effective, secure, and efficient inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and promote best practices, policies, and processes aligned with the Illovo Outbound Logistics Way.
• Ensure compliance with group standards and safeguard the security of warehouses and depots.
• Manage inventory control, track product movements, and address variances.
• Maintain warehouse re-order levels and manage Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) movements.
• Oversee satellite warehouse operations as extensions of the main facility.
• Optimize warehouse processes for inbound receipt handling, storage, and dispatch to minimize damages and delays.
• Reconcile physical and theoretical stock and maintain accurate stock ledgers.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment for safe product handling.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Logistics to ensure timely execution of customer orders.
• Contribute to and manage the warehouse budget efficiently.
• Identify and implement suitable technologies for improved logistics and warehouse management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in outbound logistics, focusing on warehouse and transportation in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage personnel, equipment, and shifts effectively.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and management skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Excel.
