Standard Bank Tanzania is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Bank Teller to join our team in Geita. As the first point of contact for our customers, the Teller will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding banking experiences while ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify customer identities and ensure the confidentiality of account information.
  • Maintain balanced cash drawers and accurate records of transactions.
  • Promote and cross-sell bank products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless branch operations and excellent customer experiences.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong cash-handling skills and basic math proficiency.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and banking software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Previous experience in banking or customer service is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili (preferred).
