The National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) of Tanzania invites applications for the position of Director of Membership Services. This is a senior role responsible for leading strategic initiatives, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the effective operation of the Division.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Formulate and recommend strategic objectives and plans for the Division to the Executive Director.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of annual plans and budgets to the Budget Committee.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, management, members, and external partners.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure the Division adheres to the Board’s statutory functions.
- Initiate procurement processes for the Division as required.
- Promote and manage staff performance-based contracts to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Build and foster a high-performance culture and teamwork aligned with the Board’s values.
- Identify and address training needs, recruitment, and staffing requirements within approved frameworks.
- Implement decisions from the Governing Board and report on their progress.
- Improve Division processes and procedures for greater efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with financial and non-financial reporting requirements.
- Develop and deliver market-responsive Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programs.
- Coordinate the registration and sensitization of accountancy professionals.
- Oversee regulatory activities, including audit quality reviews and disciplinary matters for members.
- Facilitate dissemination of professional knowledge and research activities.
- Strengthen international affiliations to enhance professional knowledge-sharing opportunities.
- Promote public awareness of the Division’s activities and services to uphold the Board’s reputation.
- Provide expert advice on corporate issues related to membership services.
- Collaborate with the IT Section to maintain membership information on the Board’s website.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualification and Experience
- Education: Master’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration (with a focus on Accountancy or Finance), or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Must hold CPA (T) or an equivalent professional qualification recognized by NBAA and be registered as an “Associate Accountant” or “Fellow Accountant.”
- Master’s Degree must align with the candidate’s Bachelor’s Degree field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of work experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
