Job Overview
CRDB Bank is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Relationship Manager—Direct Channels to lead the growth and performance of agency banking and merchant networks. This role focuses on driving customer acquisition, maintaining agent networks, and ensuring compliance to achieve profitability while fostering innovative growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Business Development:
- Manage end-to-end customer acquisition, including Lipa Hapa and merchant recruitment.
- Planned, executed, and monitored sales strategies, distribution, marketing initiatives, and budgets for CRDB Wakala and merchants.
- Support zones and branches in achieving customer acquisition through agents and their staff.
- Agent and Merchant Network Management:
- Oversee agent recruitment and ensure compliance with KYC regulations and business requirements.
- Train agents, staff, and field teams on agency banking products and troubleshooting tools to enhance efficiency.
- Develop innovative sales activities to motivate the agent network and drive retention and performance.
- Market and Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor market dynamics, including customer behavior, competition, and compliance requirements.
- Provide performance visibility by sharing reports and conducting meetings to enhance results.
- Periodically visit regions to ensure proper implementation of strategies, monitor branch performance, and evaluate KPIs.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with branch and zonal relationship managers for business opportunities and compliance.
- Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Product Execution:
- Manage and execute CRDB Wakala and merchant-related products and services to achieve expected results.
- Identify value-added services and develop business cases for approval to enhance agency banking offerings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- An MBA or Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in agency banking, MFS/MNO sales, merchant services, and financial inclusion.
- Prior experience in field operations, FMCG, or direct sales is advantageous.
- Skills and Attributes:
- Strong integrity, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build credible relationships.
- Proven expertise in data analysis, strategic planning, and execution.
