The Executive Director has received approval for alternative employment for the fiscal year 2023/2024, Ref. No. FA.288/613/01/D/095 dated August 15, 2024, from the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office, Public Service Management, and Good Governance. Based on this approval, the Babati District Council invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following positions:
1. Position: Driver II (2 Positions)
1.1 Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting the vehicle before and after a journey to ensure its safety.
- Transporting staff to various locations for official duties.
- Performing minor vehicle maintenance.
- Recording and maintaining travel logs.
- Collecting and distributing official documents.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the vehicle.
1.2 Qualifications
- Holder of a Form IV Certificate (Ordinary Level).
- Possess a valid Class ‘E’ or ‘C’ driving license with at least one year of accident-free driving experience.
- Must have completed a Basic Driving Course from VETA or another government-recognized institution.
1.3 Salary Scale
- As per the Government Salary Scale – TGS B.
General Requirements
- Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged 18–45, except those already in government service.
