The Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) is a government agency responsible for managing and operating Tanzania’s airports. It oversees a network of airports across the country, including major international hubs like Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro International Airport.
Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) was founded in 1999 by an Act of Parliament. The authority is responsible for the provision of airport services, ground support, infrastructure, and construction of airports in Tanzania. The Authority operates under the purview of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development
TAA Main Functions: Give technical advice to the Government on the development of airports. Ensure that the Government’s airport policies, regulations, procedures, and international standards are implemented accordingly. Advise the Government on national and international aspects of airport management. TAA’s main offices are located in Dar es Salaam and at Julius Nyerere International Airport.
